Specialized Care for Trauma, Betrayal, and Relationships
Long Point Counseling is a focused practice, not a generalist one. Jeff Marcino has spent two decades helping adults and couples through trauma, betrayal, addiction, and the moments when life or love is coming apart — deep, honest work with someone who has the experience to help.
Does Any of This Sound Familiar?
Most people do not arrive with the perfect words, just a sense that something has to change. You might recognize yourself here:
You keep replaying what happened, and your body will not let it rest.
Since a betrayal, you cannot tell what was real, or trust your own judgment.
A behavior you cannot stop keeps colliding with your values and your relationship.
You and your partner love each other but keep landing in the same fight.
You are holding everything together on the outside and running on empty underneath.
Grief, anxiety, or a low mood has quietly narrowed your life.
If any of that lands, you are in the right place. Request a confidential consultation →
Areas of Focus
The practice is built around four areas of deep specialization.
Trauma & PTSD Therapy
For when the past keeps surfacing — hypervigilance, intrusive memories, numbness, or a body that never fully settles. The work builds steadier regulation and more room to live.
Betrayal Trauma Recovery
Steadying support after infidelity, hidden behavior, or deception, when trust and your sense of reality have been shaken. Early work focuses on stabilization and clarity.
Sex Addiction Therapy
Compassionate, shame-free treatment for compulsive sexual behavior — addressing both the behavior and what drives it: secrecy, trauma, and disconnection.
Couples Therapy (RLT)
An active, accountable approach using Relational Life Therapy for couples facing betrayal, chronic conflict, or quiet disconnection.

Meet Jeff Marcino, Psy.D, LPC
For 20 years, Jeff has helped adults and couples through the hardest things they carry — trauma, betrayal, addiction, and relationships in crisis.
Earlier in his career he directed behavioral-health programming and emergency triage operations across multiple South Carolina hospital systems, training clinical teams in suicide prevention, trauma response, and crisis stabilization. That high-acuity background shapes how he works today: steady, direct, and unshaken by the hard things.
Clients describe his style as direct but compassionate. He keeps a deliberately small caseload and does deep, specialized work rather than a little of everything.
